Executive Vice President, Strategy

As Executive Vice President, Strategy, Tracey is responsible for the overall growth strategy of the company and planning for the future of its workforce solutions. She has 25+ years of experience creating strategic roadmaps for talent acquisition, innovating for next generation service and product development, managing global partnerships and implementing workforce management process improvement strategies.
Prior to joining Synergis in June of 2021, Tracey provided executive consultation services in the workforce solutions industry as an independent consultant. Before that, she served as Executive Director, Strategy & Insights for Allegis Global Solutions where she managed a team responsible for creating and leading the strategic initiatives for the company. Her distinguished career also includes being named to the Staffing Industry Analysts’ (SIA) Global Power 100 Women in Staffing list in 2017.

Tracey enjoys attending Lacrosse games, traveling, book club and, of course, spending time with her husband and teenage son.

Jim Gaston

Jim Gaston joined Synergis in January of 2021 and is responsible for financial operations. Jim brings more than 20 years of IT staffing and consulting industry experience to Synergis. Prior to joining Synergis, Jim held CFO, Director and VP Positions in accounting and finance for organizations serving national and international clients.
Jim earned his BBA in accounting from Georgia State University and his MBA from Mercer University. Jim has held memberships in the Institute of Management Accountants, The CFO Leadership Council, Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma. Jim and his wife Carole reside in Roswell, Georgia.

Chad Steward

Chad earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in HR Management from Georgia Southern University. He began his career in technology staffing more than 20 years ago. Beginning as a Recruiter in the late ’90s, Chad worked his way into business-to-business sales as an Account Manager supporting large enterprise customers. He moved into management as the Director of Recruiting for all domestic and international Recruiting teams and then served as the Vice President of Operations and HR. Chad joined Synergis in 2017 as the Recruiting Director where he oversaw all IT and Creative Recruiting. He was promoted to Vice President of Operations in July 2019 and is responsible for overseeing all three Synergis offices.

In his spare time, Chad enjoys spending time with his wife, nieces and nephews and volunteering at church.

Leona Rapelye

Serving as Vice President of Human Resources, Leona is responsible for ensuring that our people programs are aligned with Synergis’ business strategies. She is also tasked with driving talent and culture initiatives that deliver strong business results and a world-class employee experience.
Having established a solid foundation in a variety of human resources roles in the financial services industry, Leona spent nearly 20 years at UPS Capital (the financial/insurance services subsidiary of UPS). In her roles, she focused on human resources and people development, as well as operational and business roles that gave her a well-rounded breadth of perspective. She has a master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and holds the SHRM-SCP designation.

Leona is an avid reader and movie buff. She is also an unapologetic Disney-phile and enjoys spending time with her husband at “the happiest place on earth.”

As Vice President, East Region, Jeff is responsible for growth for enterprise and field sales on the east coast for Synergis. With 10 plus years of experience, he has focused on growing sales and recruiting teams in multiple markets. His leadership in staffing has focused on business growth for teams in new territories specializing in IT.
Prior to joining Synergis in December 2021, Jeff was part of the executive team with Pyramid Consulting. Serving as Vice President, he was tasked with building out IT staffing teams in the Southeast. His background includes a career in selling ERP Software nationally to Fortune 500 companies and utilizing his executive-level interactions to shift back into his passion for staffing.

Jon Barbato
Vice President, West Region

As Vice President of the West region, Jon is responsible for strategic management and oversight of the region. He has 15+ years of experience in developing and expanding business within small, mid-sized and Fortune 1000 companies along with a track record of success in creating profitable client relationships and building cohesive, high performing teams.
Prior to joining Synergis in August of 2021, Jon sold Workforce Solutions services to domestic and international clients as well as held Branch and Regional Leadership positions in the staffing industry. He graduated from the University of San Francisco with a bachelor’s degree in Business & Marketing.

Jon is an avid sports fan – particularly baseball, football and basketball. He enjoys spending time with his wife, two young daughters and taking his Australian Shepherd on long walks in the neighborhood. When he’s not watching a ballgame or spending time with his family, he can often be found on the golf course!
